Agreed.

As a patient (and the parent of a patient), I find it's sometimes hard to absorb all of the information a doctor is giving to me during an office visit or on the phone--either because the doctor is rushing and speaking in medical terms with which I am not familiar or because I am distracted (taking care of a fussing toddler or overwhelmed by the implications of what little I have absorbed).

Invariably, I wind up resorting to Google and wishing there was a way my doctor could help me navigate the "infosphere" in a useful way: either printed information from the doctor about the particular medical issue or a list of reliable sources to which I could turn for more information.
